How do you explain to a child the evolution of time and how stories have changed the world we live in today? This was the question that led Timelinefy’s CEO to idealize the concept of the platform. Challenged to present to his children, ages 5 and 8, how time evolved parallel to historical events, he search for a tool, and soon discovered that it would be necessary to create one. Thus Timelinefy was born.
We understand that time is a difficult concept to grasp, and throughout history events can seem unclear if not followed by contextualization, causes and consequences.
Let’s reflect. When, where and with whom are the basic information related to an event. The last two elements of this equation have already been transformed through technology. The “Where”, which represents the interaction with the location, has replaced paper maps and compasses with GPSs and digital maps. The “With Whom” has been transformed by social media, which has dramatically changed the way people relate to each other. But what about the “When”? The human relationship with time has not yet been transformed by technology, and this is Timelinefy’s ambition, to change the way people reflect on the past and the present.
Today Timelinefy is a platform for visualizing complex information in a chronological narrative, capable of expanding our ability to analyze and interpret the relationships and connections between events. A digital tool with features that facilitate the communication of temporal information and opens space for the multiple narratives and stories that emerge in the middle of the facts.
